26th April 2021 - Cessna C172 - EGGP -> EGCK

 The fourth flight of the simulated day, 25/04/2021 started at 08:11 UK time. The aim of this flight was to move into Wales and see some more "hilly" scenery. The chosen aircraft is fully filled with an expected arrival in under an hour from take off.

Initial taxi requests take the aircraft to the runway ready for take off which is surprisingly easy as the airport is pretty much deserted. I would have expected more from Liverpool! Getting into the air is a simple process as per usual.

Early into the flight we encounter another Cessna aircraft a few thousand feet above and we pass within 2 nautical miles of each other after ATC (air traffic control) decide to moan about it to us. The other Cessna's flight path took it in front straight across my path.

A little further on, another first for this days flight. Clouds! Passing through the clouds is rather quick and easy finally getting to the other side to be confronted with the welsh countryside. The hills are high but at flying at 6500 feet, they're not an issue at all.

After clearing the hills, the airport is in sight. At this point I discover that this airport is not controlled by ATC and you just announce your landing or take off intentions to "thin air". After two terrible landing attempts, I finally make it on the third and taxi a short way off the runway straight to the fuel depot.

This is Caernarfon, next up Dublin!
