26th April 2021 - Cessna C172 - EGBB -> EGGP

 The third flight of the simulated day, 25/04/2021 started at 07:11 UK time. The aim of this flight was to further explore the western borders of the UK's countryside. The chosen aircraft is fully fuelled with an expected arrival in under an hour from take off.

Initial taxi requests take the aircraft to the runway ready for take off behind a Boeing 737 which we dutifully wait to get out of the way and into the air which doesn't take very long to happen.

Next up, take off, all systems are primed and everything appears to be in good order. The take off is a success and even more fortunately, the destination Liverpool, is actually straight ahead from the airports runway!

The Cessna climbs easily to 4500 feet and happily floats all the way to Liverpool, where an ATC places us in a right traffic pattern. Being totally incompetent with holding patterns I take an approach where I end up landing on the runway from the wrong end and getting told I didn't have clearance to land GET OUT OF THE WAY! Fortunately, the airport was pretty much empty so it didn't matter too much although I now know what right and left traffic patterns mean...

The next destination after refuel and rest is Caernarfon.
